Minecraft Server Rules
Be kind and respectful. Hate, harassment, bullying, or other anti-community behaviours are not tolerated.
iSV is made up of a worldwide community. Because of the differences across many cultures, misunderstandings are expected. Please give each other the benefit of the doubt and do not make assumptions about tone or intent in a text-based environment.
This community is Family Friendly. Please keep language and conversations clean. Understand that what may be considered a swear in one culture may not be a swear in another culture.
Do not publicly share your own or anyone else's personally identifying information.
Keep chat safe and friendly. Do not spam, and avoid controversial and/or triggering topics such as trauma dumping, religion, or politics.
Obtain consent from a player before pranking or engaging in PVP.
Contact a moderator if you have concerns with another player.
Build only within designated building areas (ex: bases, districts, etc) and do not build outside borders.
Each player can have one base claim in each dimension (Overworld, Nether, and End) in addition to one Spawn Town claim.
Refer here for detailed information on base claims
Refer here for detailed information on districts
The Ball Pit has its own rules. Before building in the Ball Pit you must read and accept the rules of the district.
Refer here for detailed information about the ball pit.
Resource gathering must be done in your base, in the resource worlds, or at the Industrial District.
Refer here for detailed information on resource collecting.
Respect other player's builds, bases, shops, etc.
Do not snoop around other player's bases, builds, or shops without permission. Stealing or griefing will result in a ban.
Repair damage to others' builds (including tnt and creeper oopsies!) Contact the owner or a mod if you are unable to make repairs.
Do not change or remove another player's build without permission.
Respect server performance and everyone else who plays on iSV.
Due to the limitations of Minecraft and the nature of playing on a large server, some restrictions are put in place to keep the server playable for everyone. Respect these limitations.
Entities should be maintained at or below the maximum permitted for each area (Bases, shops, etc.)
Refer here for the entity limits for spawn town claims, overworld bases, nether bases, shops, or the ball pit.
You are limited to 7 villagers at your base. More villagers may be permitted under certain conditions.
Refer here for detailed information on villagers.
Use server-friendly redstone practices when possible. On-off switches and proper collection systems are some examples but you can refer here for detailed information about redstone and farms.
Do not build anything that intentionally creates lag.
Chunk loaders are not permitted.
Some farms are not permitted outside of the Industrial District. Before building any farm ensure that it is permitted by referring to this list.
Nether tunnels should be properly linked and base tunnels should connect to the main nether tunnels in a straight line only.
Refer here for detailed information on personal nether portals and tunnels.
Client-side mods are permitted as long as they follow iSV rules.
Refer here for detailed information about using mods on iSV.
You are responsible for the actions of your account. Contact a moderator immediately if your account is compromised so we can block any unauthorized access to the server. You may be temporarily banned from the server until you regain control of your account.
For the health of the community and the server the Moderator team reserves the right to make judgement calls on decisions for any situation not clarified or covered by these rules.
The rules above are not extensive and more detailed information can be found by accessing the other pages in the Gitbook. Not knowing the rules is not an excuse for breaking them.
Should you be found in violation of any of these rules you will be contacted by a moderator. You may be asked to make corrections or explain your situation. We ask that you respect all staff members. Arguing or disagreeing with the mods will not be tolerated and is considered anti-community behaviour. Serious infractions may result in a temporary or permanent ban.
