No AI Villager FAQ

Q: What is a NoAI villager?

A: A villager whose brains have been removed. They will no longer move, search for a workstation, search for a bed, search for a bell, try to gossip, be affected by gravity, get scared, unlock trades or anything that would require a brain.

Q: Why are we removing their AI?

A: Villager AI is extremely complex and is a big drain on server resources. By removing their AI we reduce the effect they have on the server by 90%.

Q: Is removing my villagers AI required?

A: No, it's completely voluntary!

Q: Can I remove some of my villagers AI but not others?

A: Yes, you can choose which ones get their AI removed.

Q: How does the AI get removed?

A: This season we are using a plugin for that, so all you need to do is use a nametag named "nobrains" to smooth out their brains. That's right! This season the players can do this on their own villagers! To have this reversed, please contact a mod.

Q: Do they still reset their trades?

A: No but we have installed some commands that will force reset their trades. It will not follow the normal resetting schedule but it will be approximately every 5 minutes (server TPS allowing).

Q: Will my NoAI villagers need a workstation?

A: Nope! They have no need of one anymore!

Q: Can they still be zombified for better pricing?

A: Yes!

Q: Will iron/food/raid farms still work?

A: No, villagers with NoAI will not get scared therefore will not summon golems/start raids/be able to farm.

Q: How can I move my villagers?

A: You can use pistons to move them if they were not in a vehicle (minecart or boat) when their AI was removed. If they've been lobotomized and you need to get them into a vehicle, you can simply ask a mod to reinstall their AI.

Q: Can I get more villagers if I have my existing villagers AI removed?

A: Yes! You can purchase up to two additional villagers for one modcoin each.

Q: How many villagers need their AI removed for me to be able to buy more?

A: At least 4 of your villagers need to have their AI removed for you to be eligible to purchase more villagers.

Q: Do my extra purchased villagers need to have their AI removed too?

A: Yes, just let us know when you've finished unlocking them and we'll come remove their AI too.

Q: How do I request that my villagers AI be removed?

A: This is no longer necessary as you now have the ability to de-brain them yourself!

Q: Can my villager trades be merged and/or trade limits doubled?
