Spawn Town
Spawn town is an area for players to build starter homes on the Spawn server, Alfred. This is the perfect place to set up while you search for your main base location!
The world borders on Alfred expand in 1000 blocks in each direction from spawn. Claims can be made anywhere between 300 to 1000 blocks from 0,0.
Each player is permitted one spawn town claim in addition to their main base claim.
There is no nether dimension in Spawn Town. Community portals are located in each corner of the world.
Spawn Town claims are separated into free-range claims, or pre-made plots within neighbourhoods. Continue reading for more information on the two types of claims.
Free-Range Claims
You may claim up to a 40x40 plot (bedrock to build height) anywhere outside of the 300x300 area surrounding spawn and inside the 1000 block borders of the Spawn Town server.
Free-range claims must be separated by a minimum of 5 blocks.
Claims cannot be made inside neighbourhoods and must be 16 blocks from any public build area.
Neighborhood Claims
Neighbourhood plots are pre-set and range in size from 20x20 up to 40x40 blocks. Each plot has a sign with the plot number and location (ex: Borderville, Plot 3B). Do not break or edit the sign until you are ready to make a claim. There are portals located in each neighbourhood.
There are 3 neighbourhoods in Spawn Town:
In the Northwest Corner at-861, -259, is Borderville, located along the western world border in a mountainous Dark Oak forest with Pale Oak overlooking the valley. There are meandering natural paths to take you through the neighbourhood, and up to a Woodland Mansion in the north of the neighbourhood. There are no build themes in this neighbourhood.
Northeast of Spawn at 740,-520, is Pine Hollows, sprawling through a relatively flat area between a birch and dark oak forest with a Woodland Mansion separating the two biomes. The plots are even and orderly. There are no build themes in this neighbourhood.
Southeast of spawn, at 825,841 is Tinytown. Tinytown is a bit different from the two northern neighbourhoods. Tinytown was once a village but the homes of the villagers have been reclaimed into move-in ready player houses. The plots in Tinytown each surround a villager home. You can terraform and modify the houses, but to respect the atmosphere and nature of this area, do not demolish or drastically modify the exterior of the houses. There are signs on the front of each house with the plot number and location. Do not break the sign and do not edit it unless you are making a claim.
How To Claim:
Spawn Town claims are first come, first serve.
If you are claiming a free range base, clearly mark the corners of your intended plot and add a sign with your IGN.
If you are claiming a pre-made plot within a neighbourhood, edit the sign that is already on the plot border with your IGN. Do not remove the information that is already written on the sign.
Fill out the Spawn Town Claim Form with your plot's location.
A guide will review your request and DM you once completed.
Rules: Due to its proximity to spawn and its population density, there are restrictions in place for all Spawn Town bases:
Do not build outside your plot borders.
No High AI entities such as villagers. This includes Zombie Villagers.
No personal nether portals. Please use the closest community portal.
There's a maximum of 10 permanent entities per claim. This includes item frames, armor stands, boats, etc.
Farms beyond starter size are not permitted.
Manual farms only (no redstone farms are permitted)
No Spawner-based farms. All spawners within your claim must be disabled or broken.
No large Redstone contraptions. This includes super smelters, auto storage systems, and complex noteblock doorbells.
No large storage systems. Please use barrels instead of chests where possible to help reduce lag.
