Client-Side Mod Information
These links will take you to the listing to download your desired mod. Please make sure to check for the proper Minecraft version and mod format (Forge or Fabric) before downloading.
Client side mods do not require approval by a moderator however, they may not be used if they fall in to one or more of the below categories. If you are found to be using one of these mods, you will face a reminder and/or disciplinary action from the mod team.
This list is not comprehensive. As mods are developed and used more widely, some things may be added or removed from this list in time. The mod team has the right to blacklist any mod we deem to powerful for a vanilla server. If you are ever unsure whether your mod falls into one of the categories below, please reach out to a moderator and we will look into it further.
Blacklisted Mod Types:
X-Ray Mods
Minimap Mods (ex: Journeymap, Xaero's Minimap) Please note, Xaero's Fair Play Edition and Xaero's World Map are an exception.
Mods that compromises another player's privacy or shows their location
Voice chat mods
Mods that reveals locations of various things (mobs, slime chunks, ores, ore veins, natural structures)
Mods that can be used to duplicate items
Mods that give you a further reach
Mods that change the way you access inventory - if you aren't physically opening the chest, it is too powerful for a vanilla server. (ex: Inventory Tabs, Inventory Profiles Next, Easy Shulker Boxes, Pick Block Pro, etc.)
Mods that allow for the automatic placement of blocks
Mods that share unsolicited information or text spam in server chat
Mods that automatically and/or instantly kill mobs

You can find some of the commonly used mods on iSV below! Every mod listed below complies with the mod restrictions.
AdvancedChat and modules: AdvancedChat Log, AdvancedChat Filters, AdvancedChat Box, AdvancedChat HUD
QoL chat enhancement mod. Customizable chat options and filtering
Checks which requirements you've met and which you haven't, and displays a list of those to the right of the UI.
Adds resource packs that use custom animated textures for GUI, entity textures, block entity, armor textures.
Another Simple HUD / Another Simple HUD 2 (Fabric)
Another Simple HUD with FPS count, coordinates and compass. Use ASH2 for 1.19
Shows hunger and saturation of a held food item before eating it
Library Dependency for some Mods
A mod that displays information about bee hives and bee nests such as number of bees inside and honey levels.
Replaces Minecraft's original F3 HUD with customizable, more readable HUD. You can customize colors, position, add spacings, and more.
Changes User Interface of the stats menu and adds a search bar to allow you to search up stats
This mod adds utility and tooltips to the recipe book. Also makes crafting easier and allows for Bedrock-like crafting.
Allows for render distances greater than the server's view-distance setting by storing all chunks sent by the server which it then can load and display at a later point when the chunk is outside the server's view-distance.
Alternative to Optifine and Sodium/Iris for rendering optimizations and shader enhancements

adds the chatters head next to their message in chat
MCPatcher's CIT re-written outside of optifine as a standalone mod for fabric.

Allows you to play Java minecraft with a PC controller
Adds QoL features like a search bar to the keybind menu
An implementation of custom entity models heavily based off of Optifine's format that aims to achieve feature parity with Optifine's custom entity models.
Reduces the speed at which minecraft renders when it's not focused or hidden. For Fabric.
A Fabric client-side mod adding ambient and environmental interaction effects to enhance immersion
EBE is a 100% client side mod for Minecraft on the Fabric mod loader which aims to increase the performance of block entity rendering, as well as offer customizability via resource packs.
Using async path-tracing to skip rendering Block/Entities that are not visible
Extreme Sound Muffler Extreme Sound Muffler(Forge)
adds more customisation options for the in-game sounds, e.g. muting only a certain mob
Fabric Dependency for fabric mods
Fabric Only. Library/API port mod
This mod allows you to control your camera separately from your player. While it is enabled, you can fly around and travel through blocks within your render distance. Disabling it will restore you to your original position. This can be useful for quickly inspecting builds and exploring your world.
Full Brightness Toggle is a client-side mod which allows players to instantly turn the brightness (gamma) to full with the press of a button.

Makes the Minecraft music play all the time
Alternative to Optifine and Canvas to allow for enhanced shaderpacks whiile using Sodium
Gives information about the item you are looking at. Forge only!

Makes the tooltips of items look nicer depending on rarity and enchants. Requires Iceberg

Configurable zoom key
Allows to be be played in VR for Fabric/Sodium
A client-side mod that allows displaying various "info lines" on the screen ("mini-F3"). The alignment (screen corner), background and text color and font size are configurable
Minimap Mods
None at this time, but some are being considered and tested.

Mouse Tweaks replaces the standard RMB dragging mechanic, adds two new LMB dragging mechanics and an ability to quickly move items with the scroll wheel.
Adds transition on player perspective changes
Strips cryptographic signatures that since 1.19 are attached to every message sent in the chat.

Allows playing MC on Oculus Quest VR platform

Allow MacOS players to scroll while crouched
More convenient usage of shulker boxes, can see entire contents from inventory without having to place them down.
Replaces the usually flat second layer of player skins with a 3d modeled version.

Fabric mod for rewriting the light engine to fix lighting performance and lighting errors.

Xaero's Mini Map (Fair Play Edition)
Acts like a traditional minimap but does not show the location of caves, mobs (hostile nor passive), or players.
Displays a fullscreen world map which only generates as you explore the world. When used in conjuction with Xaero's Minimap, can be used to set waypoints.
Though this is 99.5% Litematica, to ensure there is no confusion we chose a completely unrelated name.
